Ahmadian made the remarks in a meeting with Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, in Tehran on Monday evening.
Announcing the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to comprehensively expand relations with Iraq, especially in the field of advanced technologies, the Iranian top security official called for boosting economic and trade relations between Tehran and Baghdad.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadian hailed the position of Iraq in condemning the Zionist regime's crimes.
Appreciating the efforts of the Iraqi side in fighting against terrorism, he added that the implementation of the recent security deal between Tehran and Iraq can contribute to regional stability and security.
Al-Mandalawi, for his part, stressed that the parliament and the government of Iraq will try to remove the commercial, financial and economic obstacles between the two countries while fully preparing to further expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
