The top Iranian diplomat made the remarks in a meeting with an Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, in Tehran on Sunday.
During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian expressed satisfaction with the principled positions of the Iraqi people, government, and parliament in firmly condemning the criminal actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
Al-Mandalawi, for his part, emphasized the need to expand relations between Iran and Iraq in all fields, especially parliamentary relations.
Referring to the Israeli regime's crimes in the Gaza Strip, the Iraqi official said that Baghdad has called on the parliament speakers from Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union member states to hold an extraordinary session regarding this issue.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Mandalawi referred to the growing relations between Tehran and Baghdad, calling for the implementation of the reached agreements between the two countries.
