Iran calls for prosecuting perpetrators of crimes in Gaza

TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (MNA) – Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber has called for prosecuting those behind the recent crimes against the Palestinian nation residing in the Gaza Strip.

Mokhber made the remarks in a meeting with Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, in Tehran on Monday.

During the war of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, all the prominent powers of the world gathered with all the facilities, but they could not harm the resistance of Gazans, he said.

Considering the Zionist regime and ISIL as the proxy army of the US, the Iranian vice president said that the region must always be ready to confront such groups.

Referring to the extensive ties between Tehran and Baghdad, Mokhber called for expanding the relations between the two countries in different fields.

Enemies cannot damage the strong and long-standing relations between Iran and Iraq, he added.

The Iraqi official, for his part, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting his country in the fight against ISIL terrorists.

The Iraqi parliament backs the peaceful nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added.
