The meeting comes at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces Abdel Emir Rashid Yarallah Arabic.
Bagheri will be accompanied by a group of high-ranking military and political officials on this trip.
During their 3-day trip, the Iranian delegation will meet with the high-ranking political-military officials of the country, including the Prime Minister and the President of Iraq.
The issue of fighting terrorism, developments in the region, bilateral defense relations, and border cooperation are among the main topics that will be discussed in these meetings.
