Competing in the Kodokan-Goshin Jutsu category, Mohammad Hassan Salari and Mohammad Reza Sahraei from Iran earned 545 points to stand in first place in the sporting event.
Previously, Wahab Bardi and Yashar Ruhollazadeh gained also a gold medal in Kime-no-kata for Iran.
Also, Mohammad-Ali Vahid and Reza Mirzaei received a bronze medal in the Katame no-kata.
The 2023 World kata championships were held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from October 28 to 29 at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Campus, with 288 judokas from 35 countries competing in the championship.
