World Bank says Iran economic growth to hit 2.2%

TEHRAN, Jun 07 (MNA) – The World Bank has predicted that Iran's economy will continue to grow by 2.2% in 2023.

Global growth is projected to slow significantly amid high inflation, tight monetary policy, and more restrictive credit conditions, the World Bank has reported in its latest release Global Economic Prospects.

The source added that global growth is estimated to decelerate from 3.1% in 2022 to 2.1% in 2023.

The World Bank estimated that Iran’s economy expanded by 2.9% in 2022.
