China foreign minister arrives in Damascus to sign deals

The Chinese Minister was welcomed at Damascus International Airport by Foreign and Expatriates Minister Faysal Mikdad, according to SANA.

According to the latest reports on the visit, Syrian and Chinese foreign ministry officials signed six economic cooperation documents.

The visit comes on the same day Bashar Assad was sworn in as Syria president for a fourth term.
