TEHRAN, Jul. 14 (MNA) – Iraqi media outlets reported that an Iraqi ship caught fire in waters of the Persian Gulf, killing all nine crew members aboard.

An Iraqi security source said on Wednesday evening that an Iraqi ship caught fire in the Persian Gulf waters, killing nine of its crew, Al-Maloumah reported.

According to the report, it is not yet clear what the ship was carrying and how it caught fire.

No further details have been provided about the cause of the incident. The Iraqi government has not yet shown any reaction to the incident.
