Strong economic relations lead to political stability

TEHRAN, May 5 (MNA) -– Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM), Alinaqi Khamushi said here on Friday that if the economic relations of a country are strong, its political relations will become stabilized as well.

He also noted that if the political unions do not have a sound economic basis, they will face many problems.

Speaking in the 8th Meeting of the International Council for Cooperation among Chambers of Commerce and Industries of the Caspian Sea Littoral States, Khamushi said that in addition to all other four member countries of this council, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not enjoy preferential tariffs and this may create problems in Iran relations with the other countries.

He went on to say that other countries that are not facing problems including taking visas, transportation and other tariff-related problems, usually face problems in their relations with Iran, because they are most of the times encountered with an increase in tariffs and the high price of the products.

Khamushi continued that the development of relations requires having equal conditions with the other countries and this issue should be put on the top of the negotiations’ agenda.

He concluded that the South–North corridor can remove a lot of problems and help rendering a considerable decrease in the distances and an eye-catching increase in the speed of export rate.
