Iranian gov. approves bill to give 5-year residence to foreign investors

TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – The Iranian government has agreed to grant 5-year residence to foreign investors who bring as much as 250,000 euros to the country.

During a cabinet session chaired by President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday afternoon it was decided to give 5-year residence to foreign nationals who at least invest 250,000 euros or equivalent foreign currencies in the country.

The new regulation aims to boost foreign investments. The related bill was initially presented to the cabinet by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance.
