Iran appoints new ambassador to Portugal

TEHRAN, Jun. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has appointed Morteza Damanpak Jami as the new ambassador to Portugal.

Proposed by Foreign Minister Zarif and endorsed by President Rouhani, Morteza Damanpak Jami will the new Iranian ambassador to Portugal.

Damanpak is among senior diplomats of the Foreign Ministry who has earlier served as Permanent Representative to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) from 2006 to 2009, as well as ambassador to Denmark and Ethiopia.
