FM Zarif due in Turkmenistan for bilateral talks

TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will leave Tehran for Ashgabat later today to discuss bilateral ties with Turkmen officials.

Heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, the Iranian diplomat is scheduled to meet and hold talks with a number of senior Turkmen officials within the framework of 'bilateral consultations' to expand the scale of mutual cooperation between the two neighbors.

Discussing political, commercial, transportation, energy and customs ties, and exchanging views over international and regional developments are on Zarif’s agenda during the trip.
