Bakhshi snatches gold at World Military Taekwondo C’ships

TEHRAN, Dec. 02 (MNA) – Iranian taekwondo practitioner Amir Mohammad Bakhshi won the third gold medal of Iran in 2018 World Military Taekwondo Championships.

In men’s -68kg category, Bakhshi defeated rivals from Cameron 28-5, Canada 19-4, Brazil 13-5, and Bulgaria 25-5 to win the gold medal.

In the first two days of the event, Hamid Sadri and Mohammad Kazemi earned two gold medals for Iran.

The 24th edition of World Military Taekwondo Championships kicked off on November 29 in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Being included in the International Military Sports Council (CISM) calendar, coordinated by the Ministries of Defense and Sports of Brazil and organized by Navy of Brazil (MB), the event will go through December 3 with participation of some 340 military athletes from 25 countries such as Germany, Bulgaria, Canada, China, United States, Iran, Italy and Russia.
