Iran’s Zarif, EU’s Mogherini hold talks in Geneva

TEHRAN, Nov. 28 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday met EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini on the sidelines of the Geneva Conference on Afghanistan.

According to Minister of Foreign Affairs' website, during the meeting, the two sides conferred on the latest developments in relations between Iran and the European Union, the Iran nuclear deal, and regional issues.

The Foreign Minister Zarif is in the Swiss city of Geneva to attend a ministerial conference on Afghanistan, co-chaired by the Afghan Government and the UN.

In addition to meeting with Federica Mogherini, Zarif has so far met and held talks with several other international officials and political figures including the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the president and chief executive officer of Afghanistan, WIPO general director.
