Current situation in Iran far better than that of previous sanctions era: MoD

TEHRAN, Nov. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said that Iran’s current conditions are substantially better than that of the previous era under sanctions, before signing the Nuclear Deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).

He made the remarks on Tuesday in a ceremony for the inauguration of an Iranian Army’s dental center in Tehran.

The United States was after creating a coalition against Iran but in the end, it was isolated, he said, adding, “we saw how US President was humiliated in the United Nations and while they were trying to fabricate propaganda against Iran in a UN Security Council session, the result was a statement which condemned Ahvaz terrorist attack and later, it led to resignation of US wicked envoy to UN.”

Iran is concentrating efforts into the peace and stability of the region while enemies are after undermining regional security, he highlighted.

Enemies were claiming that the Islamic Revolution would not see its 40th anniversary, however, the Iranian nation will hold this year’s ceremony on February 11 more passionately than ever, he noted. “We will step into the 5th decade of Islamic Revolution while being readier than ever.”
