Over 60 civilians killed, injured by coalition airstrike in Deir Ezzor

DEIR EZZOR, Nov. 13 (MNA) – Over 60 civilians have been killed or injured by a US-led coalition airstrike on Syria's eastern province of Deir Ezzor, Syrian SANA news agency reported.

"More than 60 civilians have been dead or wounded as a result of an attack by the international coalition on the village of al-Sha'afa in the east of Deir Ezzor ," SANA said, citing local sources.

Previously, another coalition airstrike on the city of Hajin in Syria's Deir Ezzor province reportedly killed at least 15 civilians. Ikhbariya TV channel reported then that the majority among those killed were women and children.

The coalition’s strikes in Syria have repeatedly come under fire for a large number of deaths among the civilians. In 2017, the strikes in Raqqa led to at least 1,400 civilian deaths, according to London-based NGO Airwars estimates.
