‘Dressage’ to vie at Spanish, Australian film festivals

TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – Iranian feature ‘Dressage’ directed by Pouya Badkoubeh will be screened at the competition sections of two international film festivals in Spain and Australia in June 2018.

Badkoubeh’s debut ‘Dressage’ will take part in the 11th edition of Granada Film Festival Cines del Sur in Spain, followed by another screening at the 65th Sydney Film Festival in Australia.

The Spanish event will be held on 3-10 June in the southern city of Granada, and the 2018 Sydney Film Festival will be held on 6-17 June 2018 in the Australian metropolis.

‘Dressage’ narrates the story of Golsa and her friends who decide to rob a corner shop out of boredom. But while evaluating the robbery, they are dismayed to realize that they forgot to take the security camera footage; so one of them must return to the crime scene and retrieve it; a task that falls on Golsa.

The Iranian feature has won Best First Film Award at the 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival, and received a nomination for GWFF Best First Feature Award at the 68th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany.
