“The measures to be undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the response of the international community to US leaving the JCPOA will be very unfavorable for the Americans,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the prospect of US pulling out from the nuclear agreement of July 14, 2015
The Iranian diplomatic chief made the remarks in New York upon his arrival at airport while addressing the media on the agenda of his visit to US.
“I have come to New York to attend the UN Meeting on Peace-building and Sustaining Peace initiated by the current president of the United Nations General Assembly,” added Mr. Zarif.
“This meeting will give us the opportunity to present the stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran especially in regards to the proposals for establishing dialogue and sustainable security in the Persian Gulf region and in our neighborhood, and also the concept proposed by President Rouhani to set up security, serenity, and stability in the region, at the General Assembly of the United Nations and to consult with other members of the UNGA,” said Mr. Zarif.
“I will also hold talks with the president of the UNGA who has initiated this meeting along with some other UNGA members who will attend this meeting,” recounted the foreign minister.
