Surrounded by four villages of Avan, Varbon, Zavardasht and Zarabad, it attracts great number of tourists in every four season of the year.
The limpid water and great number of birds and trees are among the unique natural attractions of the region.
Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the lake looks like a cavity which receives water from the springs inside, at the bottom of the lake.
Fruit trees of apple, cherry, nut and walnut, as well as the green plants grown around the lake make it ever green throughout the year.
Different kind of birds including eagle, falcon, owl and woodpecker are flying in the sky over the lake, creating a beautiful scene, while several fish are living in the lake.
Brown bear, leopard, fox, wolf, wild cat, boar, and jackal are among the animals living in the region as well.
Being neighbor with northern part of Iran, it enjoys a misty climate, while its vicinity to southern dry deserts of the country makes a different climate as well, in addition to several mountains on the east and west which all have a created unique climate, hardly found in any part of the country.
Hot springs, streams of Garmaroud, Andajroud, Khararoud, Sardroud, as well as mysterious caves are among the other tourist sites of the region.
