In a Monday meeting at the Iranian Foreign Ministry building in Tehran, the two sides discussed a wide range of issues in different political, economic fields and border security cooperation, as well as fight against drug trafficking, terrorism and extremism.
Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Iran late on Sunday to hold high-level talks on various issues, including security of the common border. The two sides exchanged their views on a wide range of cooperation in various political, economic and security fields, provision of security in borders, combat smuggling drugs, fight against terrorism and extremism.
The also examined readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran for exporting electricity and gas to neighboring Pakistan, emphasis on the unity and amity of Islamic world, necessity of vigilance of Islamic countries to thwart conspiracies and discords which have been spread by enemies among Islamic countries as well as regional and international issues.
In the end, the two sides promised to take their utmost efforts for boosting peace and security in the region.
