Iranians grab 4 gold, 3 silver medals at Beach Wrestling World C’ships

TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) –The Iranian squad attending at the Beach Wrestling World Championships underway in Dalyan, Turkey, have won 4 gold, 3 silver, and one silver medals so far.

Four Iranian wrestlers of the national squad bagged home the gold medal at the Beach Wrestling World Championships in Dalyan city of Turkey, Reza Moghaddasi, in 60 kilogram weight class of cadet section, Reza Shirazi, in the 60 kilogram weight category of junior section, Omid Hassantabar in the 80 kilogram weight division of adult section, and Seyyed Jafar Ghasemi, in the 60 kilogram category.

Iranian athletes has also garnered 3 silver medals in the tournament. Amirhossein Hadipour, in 70 kilogram weight class of cadet section, Mohammadreza Pakpour, in 80 kilogram weight division of junior section, and Mohammad Naderi, in 70 kilogram weight class of adult section, were the Iranian wrestlers who placed second in their categories and brought home three silver medals for Iran.

Amirhossein Esmaeili, the cadet wrestler in the 70 kilogram weight division won the bronze medal.
