Deputy FM calls for political settlement of Syrian crisis

TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – Iran’s Hossein Jaberi Ansari met with Syrian FM Muallem in Syrian capital city of Damascus on Wednesday and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari who is visiting Syria met with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-muallem in Damascus.

“The new developments have forced all those countries supporting terrorism to revise their calculations,” said the Syrian top diplomat referring to the latest course of events in Syria and Iraq as ‘positive field developments’.

On the other hand, the Iranian senior diplomat voiced his content with the course of events, positive social ambience, return of natural routine of daily life in Damascus and other areas of Syria. He voiced an urgent call for utilizing the recent changing situation to find a political solution for the protracted civil war in the Arab country.
