Sanaye Giti Pasand futsal club, which represents Iran at the 8th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, thrashed Chinese rivals 7-0 to secure a place in the knock-out stage of the sportive event.
Ahmad Esmaeilpour made a hat-trick at the eye-catching showdown while the score gap was further widened by Aliasghar Hassanzadeh, Zarei, Mehrdad Jaberi and Mohammad Keshavarz who found the net for the Persian side once each.
The debut marked the first match of Giti Pasand who is competing in Group C of the event along with Shriker Osaka from Japan and China’s Shenzhen Nanling Tielang FC.
Futsal players of Iran are slated to take up the Japanese outfit, who had previously breezed past representative of China, in a bid to determine the group-stage leader.
The tournament, hosting 12 teams in four groups, is kicked off on July 20 and will run through July 30, 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
