On second day of the international event, Daneshvar met rivals in finals of Men Elite – Keirin in Beijing. The Iranian cyclist was racing against five other cyclists from host China and Taiwan.
Following a neck-on-neck completion, member of Iran’s national track cycling team managed to claim gold medal of Keirin race in the Class 1 international event.
Daneshvar had previously succeeded in securing a berth for participating in Men Elite –Sprint race.
Under way in the Chinese capital of Beijing from 22-23 May 2017, China Track Cup marks a qualification tournament for 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships to be hosted by Apeldoorn of the Netherlands.
The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the set of world championship events for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling.
Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and Madison. Women's events are generally shorter than men's. Events which are no longer held include the kilometer time trial (men), the 500-meter time trial (women), motor paced events, and tandem events.
