Iran, Kyrgyzstan stress facilitation of trade coop.

TEHRAN, Apr. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said he talked with Kyrgyz counterpart on facilitating economic cooperation and the possibility of direct flights between the two countries.

In a joint press conference with Speaker of Kyrgyzstan’s parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov on Monday, Larijani said political and international relations between Iran and Kyrgyzstan is at a good level and “today we held talks on different fields including parliamentary cooperation and holding dialogue among specialized commissions.”

The next part of negotiations was on economic cooperation between the two countries, Larijani noted, adding it will help the businessmen of the two countries make use of existing capacity, since there are good opportunities to be benefitted from in the two countries.

Parliament speaker added that Kyrgyz counterpart is slated to talk with the members of Chamber of Commerce and visit industrial and production centers to pave way for further cooperation.

In addition, the two sides discussed the ways to facilitate trade cooperation between the two countries and provide the possibility of Tehran-Bishkek direct flight which will help flourish the commercial and touristic activities between the two countries, Larijani noted.

Tursunbekov, for his part, said the nations of the two countries have good relations, including the trade through the Silk Road, and now are strategic partners for each other.

“Iran and Kyrgyzstan are ready to expand their relationship both in political and economic arenas,” he added.

Kyrgyz official underlined that close calls between parliamentary friendship committees of the two countries can help advance the goals.
