Having attended Jamaran, Miguel Littin said “I used to follow up on the news since Imam Khomeini was present in Paris and led Iran's revolution. Now I respect him from the bottom of my heart."
Miguel Littin, a well-known Chilean filmmaker, who is the special guest of the third International Section of Ammar Popular Film Festival, attended Jamaran and paid tribute to Imam Khomeini.
Littin said he had a strange feeling when being in Jamaran, where the late Imam Khomeini resided.
He said, the invitation extended to him by Ammar Popular Film Festival shocked him; “for the same reason, I accepted the invitation immediately and I am happy to be present in Iran.”
The Chilean filmmaker refused to attend a press conference on the sidelines of the visit due to his respect for Imam Khomeini. He did so on the belief that the interview should not take place where the late Imam Khomeini once lived; so, he moved the site of interview with the visual media after a visit to Jamaran.
After the visit, he went to Tehran's big bazaar and voiced satisfaction with quality of Iranian goods. He said “in Chile, we lack the type of goods and textiles produced in Iran and I go to the US to prepare some clothes."
