Tlanchana Fest to host two Iranian short films

TEHRAN, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Two Iranian short films, Color of Water and The Scarecrows are Dying Too will be screened at the 2016 edition of the Tlanchana Fest, Film and Digital Art Festival, in Mexico.

Emad Salmanian’s Color of Water as well as Parviz Rostami’s The Scarecrows are Dying Too, both productions of Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS) will vie at the competition section of Tlanchana Fest.

Color of Water recounts the story of a teenage boy and his father who are fishing under the sea before an incident occurs.

The Scarecrows Are Dying Too is the story of a woman visiting an old man who lives in one of the villages in the Iraqi-Iranian border. The old man has lost his son and daughter-in-law due to a bombing explosion. Collecting residues in the mountains surrounding the village reminds the villagers of the bitter memory of the village, and often leads them to the place of incident.

The international film festival will take place from June 15 to June 19 in Tlanchana city of Mexico.
