Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday evening in Kerman, Economy Minister of Austria's Carinthia State Christian Benger said Kerman province holds invaluable capacities in tourism, historical, cultural and urban areas.
He outlined Kerman as a dynamic and economic region asserting “Arg-e Bam marks an amazing tourist attraction in the Iranian province and the precious efforts have been made to revive it after the 2003 earthquake.”
Benger further enumerated possible venues for cooperation between Kerman and Austria including water management, recycling as well as tourism.
“A working group will be formed to follow up specific projects which will be implemented in Kerman,” he continued.
The visiting official noted that Austria seeks long-term cooperation with Kerman; “a Kermani delegation will make a visit to Austria's Carinthia State in the coming week.”
Christian Benger recalled that negotiations will be held over renewable energies during the Iranian delegation’s visit to the Austrian state.
“Kerman holds a bright future ahead,” underlined the official maintaining “we seek to introduce tourist attractions of Austria.”
Benger also deemed mutual trust and understanding between the two sides as the two main components of successful business; “fortunately, the two elements were present during the visit to Iran.”
“We consider Iran as a powerful and stable country in the region as it is regarded a regional hub,” said Benger who is heading a high-ranking Austrian trade delegation to Kerman province to boost economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
