Zarif, Brunei's min. discuss tourism, agriculture

TEHRAN, Mar. 09 (MNA) – Iran’s Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Brunei Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Paduka Haji Ali bin Haji Apong on Wednesday.

In his one-day stay at the tiny Island of Brunei, Foreign Minister Zarif first held a meeting with the Crown Prince of Brunei Al-Muhtadee Billah in the Southeast Asian country.

In his second meeting with Haji Apong in the Brunei’s capital of Bandar Seri Begawan, the two sides conferred on the fields in which the two sides can promote their mutual cooperation.

Underlining the existence of significant capacities in the areas of bilateral interest and the need to activate them, the two sides exchanged views on and discussed the expansion of cooperation between Iran and Brunei in the field of tourism, fisheries and agriculture.

Zarif is slated to travel to Thailand, Australia and New Zealand afterwards as part of an ongoing 11-day tour of southeastern Asia and Oceania.
