“The 35 percent increase in Iran's Human Development Index (HDI) for 2015, and the 69th place among 188 countries is a great achievement,” said Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in the unveiling ceremony of Iran’s Human Development Report on Wednesday.
Noting Iran’s history and its ups and downs, Araghchi said Iranians have demonstrated their power facing problems through history and the report proves it once again.
He added “the report unveiled today identifies Iran as a country with a high HDI as it shows a six-level improvement in its ranking.”
“The report proves that Iran, even under illegal and cruel sanctions, has continued the progress path successfully,” said Araghchi.
Araghchi, given the JCPOA implementation, reiterated “no one could object the influence of Iran’s recent political achievements on Iran’s future advancement.”
“Iran would not stop and would continue the path towards the new development horizons deserved by its nation,” concluded deputy FM.
