The statement extended accolade to the nation for the high turnout in the Parliament and Assembly of Experts elections held February 26 where it believed, “they displayed a laudable collective behavior before the eyes of the world of solidarity and unity in the ballot boxes in casting their votes.”
“The Headquarter officially announces that the ultimate results of Parliament and Assembly of Experts elections will be public solely through an official statement and no other source or body is eligible to endorse any results whatsoever about the winning or losing in any constituency,” said the statement published minutes ago, early hours of February 27.
Counting votes is underway across the country and few of constituencies have known the winners. In Tehran however, the final results would only be announced in a course of 3 days, thanks to the sheer size of the plebiscite and large number of votes cast in the ballots.
