Ukrainian Ambassador to Tehran Sergei Buldiliak presented Zarif with his credentials as ambassador. Mr. Zarif and Ukrainian new ambassador discussed ways to boost bilateral ties. “After implementation of JCPOA, Iran has seen a rising trend in European and world delegations to Tehran,” he said.
Mr. Buldiliak for his part welcomed economic ties with Iran in a framework of mutual respect. “Ukraine has huge capacities in energy, ship-building, aircraft industry, and other manufacturing machinery and both countries would enjoy these potentials in the new term,” he said.
Still in a related story, Bangladeshi new ambassador also provided Zarif with his credentials. Mr. Mujibur Abdul Rahman discussed the prospects of Tehran-Dhaka relations based on principles of friendship and fraternity. “Tehran has always welcomed relations with Muslim countries and we would not set any limits on ties with Bangladesh,” was Zarif’s take in the brief meeting.
Mr. Abdul Rahman believed that Bangladesh regarded Iran highly as a country of importance in the Islamic world and that “we expect to see more high-level exchanges to improve cultural and economic relations between two capital cities in the future.”
