National wrestlers to leave for Bulgaria

TEHRAN, Jan. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestlers will depart for Bulgaria to attend the 2016 Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov tournament.

The 54th International wrestling tournament dubbed as Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov will convene the Bulgarian capital Sofia on January 29-31.

Organized by the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation, the event covers senior Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women’s wrestling.

Iranian wrestling teams will leave Tehran for Sofia on Wednesday January 27 to compete at the event.

 

Led by Mohammad Talaei, the following freestylers will take part in the tournament:

57kg: Kheirollah Ghahramani, Younes Emami

61kg: Peyman Biabani, Abolfazl Hajipour

65kg: Mahdi Niazi

74kg: Morteza Mirzaei

86kg: Arashk Mohebi, Ali mujerloo

97kg: Masoud Khaje Salehani

125kg: Amir Reza Amiri

 

Meanwhile, headed by Reza Simkhah, a total of nine Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers will also take part in the Bulgarian event.

The names of the selected senior Greco-Roman athletes are as follow:

59kg: Mohammad Reza Garaei

66kg: Mohammad Hassan Hosseini

71kg: Mahmoud Habibi

75kg: Mahdi Ebrahimi

80kg: Keyvan Rezaei

85kg: Soheil Raeisi

98kg: Amir Hossein Hosseini, Mohammad Biranvand

130kg: Amin Mirzadeh
