Zarif receives Bosnian ambassador’s credentials

TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (MNA) – New ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina has handed in his credentials to Mohammad Javad Zarif of Iran.

Kemal Muftić was received by Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif as protocols of a new ambassador introduction ruled. Both sides emphasized upon positive past history of Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina relations; “there has been a strong bond between two nations based on deep cultural and political relations since the country celebrated independence in the 1990s with the collapse of the former Yugoslavia,” said Mr. Zarif. “We hope to see new developments in bilateral ties in times post-JCPOA in all fields of politics, economy, and culture.”

Kemal Muftić for his part, told the meeting that Bosnia and Herzegovina would evaluate its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran as progressive; “we want to see improved ties with Iran in the near future through exchange of trade and economic delegations to take new steps forward better relations,” he added.
