The concert will be held from December 16 to 18, award-winning French-Iranian composer Christophe Rezai said.
He added that compositions from Baroque and Renaissance periods in French, English and German will be performed during the concert. The first part of the program will include Fennelly’s solo performance on the viola da gamba and as far as I remember such an instrument will be played in Iran after 13 years.
Viola da gamba, also known as viol, is derived from the family of bowed, fretted and stringed instruments that first appeared in Spain in the 15th century. The instrument was most popular in the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The Baroque ensemble is composed of Christophe Rezai, Reza Asgharzadeh, Farhud Biglarbeigi, Puyan Farzin, Puria Kiani, Amir-Hossein Noruz-Nasseri and Aidin Monem.
