Invited by Iranian maestro Ali Rahbari, the music director of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, Viktorovich Fedotov will arrive in Iran next week.
Maxim Viktorovich Fedotov is a famous Russian violinist, conductor and the son of the conductor Viktor Fedotov.
He studied at the Special Music School in Leningrad and then at the Moscow Conservatory. Fedotov has also been chief conductor of the Russian Symphony Orchestra (2003–2005).
He has appeared in most of the major concert halls with many of the major orchestras of Russia, Europe as well as Japan, playing a repertoire of over fifty concertos.
All-Union Violin Competition (Riga), Paganini Competition (Genoa), Viotti International Music Competition – chamber music (Vercelli), Second Prize in the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow), and Fedotov–Petrova duo, laureate of the Moscow Government Award are among his prizes.
On January 4 and 5 Fedotov will have a recital performance in Roudaki Hall, and on January 6 and 7 he will hold a Tchaikovsky violin concerto in Vahdat Hall.
