The central Government and the Governor of Tokyo Yoichi Masuzoe, stated that they would adopt new measures to tighten security of that and other sports events in the Japanese capital.

To tighten the measures against terrorism, the Governor said he would try to increase the number of police agents and firemen in the metropolitan area in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, the central Government announced on Tuesday a basic plan to prepare Japan for the Olympics in 2020, including the creation of a new security and intelligence agency in July, 2017.

Olympic Committee in Japan also announced that it would adopt measures to guarantee security for the Japanese athletes and coaches abroad, and requested that they registered in the emergency notifying system of the Foreign Ministry.
