The ambassadors of Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands handed over their credentials in separate meetings on Tuesday.
Meeting the new Dutch ambassador Susana Trastal, Rouhani said that Iran-Netherlands enjoy long-lasting ties and added “The Netherlands holds a great position in terms of industry, commerce and energy. The country is also considered as a grand law hub and we hope to develop mutual ties.”
“Both the countries enjoy different capacities which can be used for bolstering ties and mutual interests”, he added.
The president added that following the nuclear deal, great steps can be taken toward expanding ties particularly in the fields of economy and trade.
The Dutch envoy, in turn, congratulated the president over the JCPOA and said that the achievement will speed up the development of Iran-Netherlands long- lasting ties.
She said that her country welcomes all-out relations with Iran particularly in cultural, scientific and environmental fields.
Trastal also stressed on Iran’s significant role in the region, urging for expanding legal cooperation with Iran in different academic levels.
In a separate meeting with the new Danish Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan, the Iranian president stressed that Iran welcomes all-out cooperation with Denmark.
Rouhani hoped that the two countries would expand ties in all fields particularly economy, trade and culture. He also referred to Iran as a great regional market which can be used for expansion of trade cooperation and investing opportunities.
Danny Annan, for his part, said that Denmark is keen to reinforce ties with Iran.
He also added that Danish companies and firms are interested to invest in the country.
The Iranian president also held a meeting with Spain’s new ambassador to Iran Eduardo López Busquets.
Receiving the credential, President Rouhani said that according to the plans, the cruel sanctions against Iran will be lifted by the end of 2015, many European and Asian companies will participate in Iran’s economic projects and Spanish economic activists should stay ahead.
Referring to Spain’s membership at the United Nations Security Council for 2015-2016, he added “We believe that Madrid can play a positive role in the Security Council for solving the region’s crisis particularly terrorism.”
Eduardo López Busquets, for his part, expressed the condolences of his country’s King, prime minister and nation over the Mina incident and said that Spain is determined in expanding ties with Iran.
