JCPOA bill ‘result of Parliament speaker’s effort: MP

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – A Parliamentarian has said the majority of MPs support the Parliament’s bill on JCPOA, deeming the plan as the outcome of the efforts of two factions.

During the review of the Bill ‘Iranian Government Reciprocal and Proportional Action’ at the open session of the Parliament on Sunday morning, Kamalodin Pirmoazzen spoke for the plan; “the proposed plan has been offered by Rahrovan-e Velayat and Principlists factions and is backed by majority of MPs,’ he added.

“The representatives are sympathetic to constructive agreement with the West and the world in line with the guidelines of the Leader,” Pirmoazzen told the open session.

“Iran has got the upper hand and in this particular case the Parliament is profiting; therefore, we should not let a small number of MPs to underestimate Iran’s Parliament,” he emphasized.

“Even influential Iranian clerics have warned against lingering on the issue of JCPOA, since any delay in its implementation would harm the country,” noted Pirmoazzen, adding that, “any sort of delay in this regard will bring about a 100-million-euro damage to the country and we should not let media harm the country.”

“Having been prepared by the efforts of the Speaker and the experts, the plan needs to be atop the Parliament’s agenda because it enjoys the approval of 86 per cent of the MPs,” he concluded.
