Secretary of NSFP Parliamentary Commission Mohammad Hassan Asfari announced that, “in the afternoon session of the Commission, all the terms and provisions of the ‘Iranian government's reciprocal and proportional action’ bill were adopted with only one or two minor changes.”
“According to these minor changes, Iran’s Foreign Ministry which was to provide NSFP Commission with the report of JCPOA implementation every six months is now required to hand in a report every three months and NSFP Commission will also deliver a similar report to the Parliament,” he added.
Stating that the Commission had a good atmosphere despite the existing disputes among the members, Asfari underlined that, “the bill on JCPOA has been investigated by other relevant Parliamnetary Commissions the reports of which have not been announced yet.”
“By the approval of the bill in the NSFP Commission’s meeting on Monday, the final report will be presented to the public session of the Parliament next Sunday,” he asserted.
Iran's Parliament approved a single-urgency bill on JCPOA which is called ‘Iranian government's reciprocal and proportional action’ bill on Sunday which was proposed on the basis of double-urgency but lawmakers approved it as a single-urgency bill.
The bill permits government to implement the JCPOA voluntarily based on the Supreme National Security Council resolutions.
