Iran Pro League round 7 gets into gear

TEHRAN, Sep. 25 (MNA) – The 7th round of Iran’s Pro League of football kicked off on Thursday with three fixtures in Mashhad, Qom, and Tehran.

Iranian Persian Gulf Professional League of football, AKA as IPL, got into its seventh round on Thursday.

The first fixtur of the day was held in Iranian North-Eastern City of Mashhad where Siahjamegan of the city hosted Esteghlal of Khuzestan.

While the match continued without a goal till the 85th minute, the late goal of the visiting blues by Hassan Beit-saeed was never equalized and the event ended with three points for Ahvazis.

In Qom, Saba hosted the golden giants of Isfahan and edge passed them with the early goal by Jalalloddin Ali-Mohammaadi at the 6th minute of the match.

While it was the second victory of the season garnered by Ali Daei’s players, it was the first defeat of Sepahan in the season.

The result cemented Esteghlal’s place at the top of the table, at least for this round, regardless of any result at Friday fixture of the blue giants.

The third 1-0 victory of the day was for Saipa who edge passed Foulad of Khuzestan in Dastgerdi Stadium of Tehran.

Javad Nekounam scored the sole goal of the fixture for the oranges of Tehran.
