Closure of Iran’s embassy in Sana’a denied

TEHRAN, Sep. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy FM for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs has dismissed the rumors on the closure of Iran’s embassy in Sana’a and announced that the embassy is running.

Hassan Ghashghavi told the reporters that Iranian diplomats are present in Sana’a and Iran’s embassy is open in Yemen.

“The embassy continues its regular activities as usual and Iran’s ambassador to Sana’a has returned home on annual leave,” added Ghashghavi reiterating that remarks made about the Iranian embassy in Yemen are baseless.

Iran has previously announced that it has no plan to close the embassy in Sana'a.
