Iranian film to compete at Sao Paulo Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – The feature film Pope directed by Ehsan Abdipour will compete at 2014 Sao Paulo Film Festival (Mostra).

Ehsan Abdipur’s second feature film Pope will be screened at the 38th São Paulo International Film Festival which will take place from October 16 to 29.

The São Paulo International Film Festival also internationally known as Mostra, is an annual film festival held in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Today, Mostra screens more than 300 films a year, and has received recognition as the main gateway in Brazil to world cinema.

Pope is a three-episodic social film which concentrates on the youth, immigration and the current social situation in Iran. It is Abdipour’s second feature film and has been shot at Boushehr, Iran.

Another Iranian film, Unripe pomegranates directed by Majidreza Mostafavi will also be screened at 2014 Sao Paulo Film Festival.
