5+1 followed ‘a wrong policy’ toward Iran: ex-British diplomat

TEHRAN, Nov. 26 (MNA) – The former British ambassador to Iran, Richard Dalton, says the 5+1 group countries (the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany) followed “a wrong policy” toward Iran’s nuclear program, the Fars News Agency reported on Saturday.

“I’m not sure that any further sanctions against Iran by the West would lead to any positive development,” Dalton, who was British ambassador to Iran between 2003 and 2006, told a conference at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London (IISS).
