Saba institute to display master Ali-Akbar Tajvidi’s miniatures

TEHRAN, April 18 (MNA) -- Tehran’s Saba Art and Cultural Institute will be displaying a collection of miniature works created by master Ali-Akbar Tajvidi in honor of his long career in the art of miniatures.

 

 

Artworks created by Ali-Akbar Tajvidi and members of his family will go on display at the institute from April 27 to May 28.

 

The exhibit will provide an opportunity for researchers and those interested in the art of miniature to see and study great examples of this Persian art.

 

Ali-Akbar Tajvidi, who is a renowned figure in the art of miniature, is also a researcher and a writer. His books, research papers and his paintings are famous both in Iran and in foreign countries.

 

The selection borrowed from museums and private collectors contain works by masters Hadi Tajvidi, Mohammad Tajvidi, Mehdi Taeb, Mohammad Taeb, Mohammad-Ali Zavieh, Abutaleb Moqimi, Ali Motiei and Ali Karimi.

 

A conference is also arranged on the side section of the exhibit in which Hadi, Ali and Mohammad Tajvidi will be lecturing on different subjects such as painting, miniature and Iranian music.

 

Saba Institute is affiliated with Iran’s Academy of Art and is located on Mozaffar St., off Taleqani Ave. near Felestin Square.
