Although the place for this year’s live fashion show was much bigger than many others in the world, it is not yet responding the number of fashion shows and “we make every effort to solve this problem for the next year’s festival,” Ghandforoush noted, adding the hall had a capacity of 500 visitors, and thus far the show have been displayed for 12 times.

According to Ghandforoush, representatives from different countries were invited to visit the festival by the Foreign Ministry and the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations.

We are not going to monopolize the designs being displayed in the festival Ghandforoush said adding that unlike other fashion shows in the world, we are not to allocate the show to any special designer labels.

One or two permanent stores are to be run for selling the designs showed at the festival, she announced.

UNESCO has suggested holding the festival at UNESCO’S office in Tehran, “but we had not the opportunity to do that,” Ghandforoush expressed.

The 3rd Festival of “Women of My Land” was held at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults on June, 12-25, 2008, focusing on tribal wedding dress and costumes for young adults.
