Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said, “It was important for us to express the country's points of view without ambiguity. The exchange of messages is currently underway.”
He added that, In the meeting with Mr. Asim Munir, we conveyed Iran's positions, views and demands, and Dr. Ghalibaf and the accompanying delegation are currently engaged in exchanging views with Pakistani sides.”
Baghaei also said, “We are engaged in diplomatic exchanges at a special period of time in Iran's history. Diplomacy for us is the continuation of defense and war, just as we defended our country's sovereignty with all our might in 40 days. Diplomacy and defense are two sides of the same coin, and God willing, with the good prayers of our people and the comprehensive support of various sectors, the demands of the Iranian people will be materialized.”
Heade by speaker Ghaibaf, Iranian delegation arrived in Pakistan for potential talks with American side on the ceasefire.
