Armenia condoles martyrdom of Leader in US-Israel aggression

TEHRAN, Mar. 29 (MNA) – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khmenei in the US-Israeli aggression.

He told in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi late on Saturday.

Appreciating the principled positions and messages of sympathy from the government and people of Armenia with the Iranian government and people, Araghchi briefed his Armenian counterpart on the war crimes committed by the US and Israeli aggressors, stating that the war waged by US and Israel is a gross violation of human rights and the international law, especially attacks on schools, hospitals, educational and research centers, historical and cultural sites, vital and productive infrastructures, as well as residential areas.

Emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran's determination to powerfully defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity against the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime, Iran’s top diplomat called on all countries to condemn the lawlessness and heinous crimes committed by the American-Zionist aggressors against the country.

He further pointed out that the United States is the root cause of insecurity and crisis in the West Asian region and also in the Strait of Hormuz, calling on the international community to hold the US government and racist-genocidal Israeli regime accountable for imposing an illegal war on Iran and the region.

The foreign minister of Armenia, for his part, expressed his deep regret over the US-Israeli aggression against civilians, especially schoolchildren at “Shajareh Tayyebeh” School in Minab, southern Iran.

Mirzoyan expressed his sympathy with the families of martyrs, government and noble nation of Islamic Iran.

Congratulating the Persian New Year (Nowruz) to the government and noble nation of Iran, Armenia’s top diplomat wished peace and tranquility for the Iranian nation.

The US and Israel waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on February 28 which led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, high-ranking military commanders and civilians.
