Iran’s justice min. to visit Armenia for bilateral talks

TEHRAN, Sep. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Justice Minister Amin Hossein Rahimi will travel to the Republic of Armenia at the direct invitation of his Armenian counterpart to discuss bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.

Developing and strengthening legal-judicial relations between the two countries has been cited as the main aim of the visit of Iranian justice minister to the Republic of Armenia.

According to the scheduled program, Iran’s justice minister will sign the bilateral legal documents and hold mutual talks regarding the facilitation of the transfer of inmates between the two countries.

Iran and Armenia have established close cooperation in the field of legal and judicial affairs since 1980s, and numerous treaties, including the extradition of criminals and the transfer of convicted persons, have been signed between the two countries.
