Mehran non-oil exports resume

TEHRAN, April 3 (MNA) –- Exports of Iranian products via Mehran resumed, said Khaled Rahimi, the governor of the border town in western Iran, Tuesday.

 

With the new Iranian year holidays ending, exports of Iranian goods and products from Mehran border market resumed, the official said adding that Iranian merchants are able to export their merchandises via the town, IRNA reported.

 

Located in Ilam Province, Mehran is considered as one of Iran’s important border towns both for pilgrims visiting neighboring Iraq's holy shrines and export of commodities to this country.

 

The province has 430 kilometers of joint border with Iraq.

 

Over $150 million worth of non-oil products is annually exported to Iraq via the border market in the region.
